Saucy Chicken Liver and Gizzard

Hello. Happy Sunday. I am back again. After being sick last week I am feeling better now. Since my mom has work so I decided to cook for her. I am not really good at cooking chicken liver because there was an incident that I cooked and it was bitter (probably it wasn’t cooked well). So let’s get started. Below are the ingredients and steps on how to cook it.

Ingredients:
1 can Green Peas
250g Tomato Sauce
1/2 kilo Chicken Liver
1/2 kilo Chicken Gizzards
1 medium size onion,chopped
3 gloves of garlic,minced
1 bell pepper,cut into strips
2 medium size potatoes, cut into “little sticks”

NOTE: I marinate the chicken liver and gizzards overnight ( with 250ml 7 up, 1/2 cup soy sauce and 1 tbsp ground pepper)

STEPS:

First, heat up the pan and put some oil and fry the potatoes once it is tender set it aside. *sorry * ( I forgot to take a photo of fried potatoes)

In a pan, saute onion and leave it for awhile then add the garlic.

Onion

Add the marinated liver and gizzards and mix it together. Simmer for 10 minutes.

Strain the liver and put it on the bowl and leave the gizzards in the pan.

Add the marinated sauce.Leave it until the gizzards are tender.

Then bring back the liver and mix it together.add tomato sauce and mix. Let it boil for two minutes then add the green peas, bell pepper and potatoes.

Let it simmer for another 2 minutes then you can turn off the heat and plate it up.

Here it is ….

Happy eating… Happy Cooking… xoxo

For everyone to know “Maja Blanca” is a filipino dessert made from coconut milk. We call this “coconut pudding”. Everybody can make their own versions of this dessert. If you want to try to make it I’ll share my own ingredients.

2 1/2 cups of cornstarch

1 can of condensed milk

2 cans of coconut milk

1/2 cup of sugar (but it depends on how sweet you want the dessert will be)

1 cup of water

1 can of kennel corn (if you want u can add up)

Coconut meat (optional)

Grated cheddar cheese

Steps:

1. In a large bowl put the cornstarch, condensed milk, sugar and coconut milk together.

2. Then mix.. Mix..

3. You can add up the water so the ingredients won’t stick to each other

4. Add the kennel corn and mix.

5. Pour it on the pan in a medium heat. Just mix it to get the right consistency of the dessert

6. Put the dessert on the rectangular pan and chill it for an hour.

7. Add grated cheese.

1 egg

1 tbsp garlic powder

3 cups flour

5 tbsp Soy sauce

1 cup honey

Oil

Instructions

1. In a bowl put the chicken, seasoning granules, brown sugar, ground pepper, egg and the onion powder. Marinate it for 30 or 45 minutes.

2. After 30 or 45 minutes of marinating the chicken. In a separate bowl put the flour but not everything and cover up the chicken. While doing it, heat up the pan and pour the oil for deep frying.

3. Deep fry the chicken and wait until its golden brown. Prepare a plate with tissue so it will absorb the excess oil.

4. Once the chicken is cooked, set aside. After, prepare another pan for making the sauce. Pour the soysauce, honey and hot sauce. Mix all together in a low heat. When the mixture is starting to boil. Turn off the stove.

5. It’s plating time. Fried chicken is already in the plate pour the sauce. Voila!

Here it is my own version of spicy honey glazed chicken 🍗 yummy in your tummy. Till next time.

Review: Pizza Streat

Hello, everyone. Last weekend, my friends and I went to a Pizza restaurant. The restaurant is: PIZZA STREAT. This restaurant has a lot of branches within Manila. We went to Taytay branch because it is quiet near where I am at. When we arrived, the pizza place is just small however it has 8 tables with chairs inside and 2 tables with chairs outside.

They have a promo of unlimited pizza and pasta for only ₱ 198.00 per person but there are consequences when you won’t finish it. Check the picture below:

Yes, I know.. STRICTLY NO SHARING!!! There will be payments for leftovers. We decided to order and the waitress told us that we can order two pizzas first and a pasta. We ordered PEPPERONI,MEATY OVERLOAD, FOUR FLAVORS PIZZA and CLASSIC CHEESY and for my pasta I ordered AGLIO OLIO. My friends ordered their MEATY SPAGHETTI and SEAFOOD MARINARA. And for our drinks we had : STRAWBERRY and CAPPUCINO frappe, RED ICE TEA and ROOTBEER.

While waiting for our orders we sang a birthday song and gave a cake to one of my friends because it was her birthday on last week of October. We’re already super haanggry!!! The downside was it took a long time for them to gave us our orders as well as our drinks 😦

.

When our orders arrived we were surprise because it was a thin crust pizza. It looks delicious and it doesn’t look cheap at all.It was served on a metal tray with two pizza slicers. Honestly, the taste was delicious and they didn’t save on ingredients. Check the pictures below

:

The pasta was served a little later. The waitress said that the serving was for one person but honestly the serving was too much for me. I guess before on their menu it was Spicy Tuna pasta and just changed it to AGLIO OLIO. The taste was delicious, too. I was too full to ate everything so I just decided to have it as a take away.

Honestly, I really like their foods especially the pizzas. I like thin crust pizzas. Too bad I had a stomachache so I didn’t finish everything (my stomachache was from the food that I had eaten the night before) I guess next time they can make pizzas and pastas in advance because the serving time is longer. Will I comeback and eat there again? Oh yes of course but probably not the unlimited one.
